TITLE: Senior Oracle Applications Database Administrator
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering or related field or foreign equivalency and 5 years of experience in the job or 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer &/or Technology Specialist &/or Technical Lead or related occupation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Any suitable combination of education, training &/or experience is acceptable.
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for overall database administration, monitoring, and control of all of the organization’s enterprise databases, including RAC and Non-RAC.
- Also, responsible for cloning, patching, code migration, performance tuning, capacity planning, database monitoring, user management, backup/recover management, TAR management, monitoring applications and services;
- creating, configuring, upgrading, tuning, capacity planning, and administration of multiple Orancle( 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g and above) databases;
- providing database consultancy to internal groups in support of various applications (logical design, physical design, failover, etc.);
- providing backend support for the development, testing, and acceptance environments for Oracle ERP and new projects relying on Oracle or SQL;
- and undertaking the technical evaluation of new or prospective Oracle and SQL implementations.
